Venues Technician (Multiple Roles)

We are seeking an eager and energetic individual to work in all areas of live theatre and events, to join our team and contribute to the delivery of the technical and operational aspects of this diverse division.
Role Responsibilities
* Deliver technical and production services to venue hirers and clients, ensuring all technical aspects of the venues and equipment are well maintained and client requirements are met satisfactorily.
* Work with the Venues Technician Supervisor and Operations & Production Coordinator to ensure operational aspects of the venues, including maintenance and compliance, are met.
* Operate all technical aspects pertaining to staging, rigging and associated theatrical elements.
Qualifications
* Ideally a Certificate III in Live Production, Theatre & Events or similar, or equivalent relevant experience (not essential).
* Council is willing to assist the successful candidate with any training or qualifications required for the role.
Remuneration
Salary range: Grade 11 – $1,349.60 – $1,460.30 per week plus 12% superannuation for a 38‐hour work week. Penalty rates apply for weekends and regular overtime. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and value to the organisation.

Other Information
Ordinary hours of work shall be a spread of hours across a seven‐day roster, based on an average of 38 hours per week, not exceeding 152 hours in any four‐week period. Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements. Shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo pre‐employment medical screening, including alcohol and other drugs testing.
