Your role at St John of God Richmond Hospital
We are seeking applications for an experienced Cook to join our Richmond Catering team on a casual basis.
You will be is responsible for providing a quality catering service which meets the needs of clients, Caregivers, visitors and representatives. The position is also responsible for preparing function requests as directed by the Hotel Services Manager (HSM) as well as general kitchen duties.
The Position
* Maintain high standard of Catering services to Clients and Caregivers.
* Act in the role Second chef role during periods of leave.
* Prepare salads, sandwiches, special dietary needs, function requests as directed by HSM or nutritionist.
* Prepares foods and assists in the needs of Gibson's on Belmont.
* Cleans floors, cool rooms, storerooms and other kitchen areas as directed.
* Replenishing of supplies to all function rooms on a weekly basis (tea, coffee, sugar, serviettes etc.).
* Regular removal & monitoring of rubbish from kitchen.
* To meet the minimum requirements of HACCP at all times.
* To Ensure best cost affective practise is maintained at all times.
You will have a strong understanding of the NSW Health & Food Safety requirements, extensive experience in cooking techniques, and a high level of customer service skills including flexibility, tact and diplomacy.
Successful applicants will hold a food handlers' certificate or equivalent. Trade qualifications and/or experience working in a health-related environment will be highly regarded.

* Hourly rate: $34.98 to $35.73 (incl. casual loading) plus 12% superannuation
