Your New Role
We're seeking a driven, customer-facing individual for our Mackay yard. Reporting to the Yard Manager, you will work within a team to sort, grade, purchase, and process scrap metal using various equipment. IMMEDIATE START!
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Load & unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers with forklift
Operate equipment, including Forklift and other heavy machinery (where licensed)
Ensure customers receive a high level of service.
Grading and sorting materials.
Maintaining a safe and tidy site and associated activities to comply with environmental guidelines while demonstrating personal responsibility and commitment to OH&S; policies and procedures.
To Be Successful In This Opportunity, You Will Have
Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for exceeding expectations.
A valid Forklift license and operational experience are essential. Excavator operation experience is desirable.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and build new skills through training
Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.
