MIZCO is a market leader in the BMS and HVAC Industry and has been established for 30 years. Due to our continued growth, we require the services of a Mechanical Engineer in our Oil and Gas Division.
Responsibilities
The role will involve engineering, equipment maintenance, designs, management and execution of HVAC projects at our factory based in Malaga (Perth).
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
* 5+ years' work experience – preferably managing and designing HVAC projects in an Oil and Gas environment.
* Good understanding of HVAC designs, equipment selections and systems integration
* Proven track record in either Greenfield or Brownfield projects
* Proven practical design in Brownfields retrofits
* Working experience with HVAC plant surveys, equipment maintenance and lifecycle management
* Hands‐on experience with computer‐aided engineering and computer‐aided manufacturing
* Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or other)
* Experience working within international standards for HVAC design such as Norsok and ISO
* Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar)
* Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, E20, Excel, LabView etc)
* Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
* Creativity and analytical skills
* Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
* Technical writing skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage personnel on site
* Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
* Ability to work in an integrated team
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
