Responsible for coordinating and implementing the hospital infection control program to ensure high quality and safety in infection control. Acts as a resource for all clinical and non-clinical departments in all areas related to the prevention and management of infection control.
About you: To be successful in this role, you will: Have current relevant registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Hold a Bachelor of Health Science Nursing or equivalent. Possess a minimum of 3 years clinical postgraduate experience. Demonstrate effective leadership and managerial skills. Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills. Show commitment to ongoing professional development and performance improvement. Be capable of positively impacting the professional development of others. Have sound computer skills in Microsoft Office programs. Experience in facilitating change and adopting new concepts. Have an interest in Infection Control practices and a willingness to learn. Possess a qualification in Infection Control Practices or be working towards it. Be a member of the Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control or an equivalent organization.
