Join us in a pivotal role where your financial expertise will drive financial insights, performance and partner with leaders across LeavePlus with a focus on financial literacy and embedding commercial discipline cross functionally. As Senior Management Accountant, you'll lead budgeting, forecasting and analysis, giving leaders the insights they need to make informed decisions and deliver on strategic goals.
Partnering closely with the Financial Controller and our close-knit Finance and Investment team, you'll strengthen financial literacy, support system improvements, and embed commercial discipline across the organisation.
What you'll do:
Step into this Senior Management Account role where you'll guide our annual budgeting cycle and work closely with teams to shape budgets that align to our strategic goals.
You'll bring clarity to financial performance through meaningful monthly insights, help our LeavePlus leaders understand trends, risks, and opportunities. Your astute analytical mindset will support decision-making through forecasting, modelling, and cost-benefit analysis to ensure our financial picture is accurate, transparent, and understood.
You will be comfortable delivering:
* Finance Business Partnering:Empowering strong decision-making across leaders guiding leaders through user-friendly tools and dashboards to navigate their team budgets and understand financial drivers.
* Payroll Oversight: Manage the essential end-to-end payroll function for LeavePlus, ensuring secure and effective payroll systems are maintained and any issues resolved swiftly and accurately.
* Accounts Payable and Compliance Reporting: Ensure timely payment to our suppliers meeting clear Payment Times Reporting requirements ensuring our compliance obligations are met.
* Strategic Projects: Deliver financial insights to key organisational projects. You'll support project budgeting, cost tracking, and benefits analysis, and work closely with cross-functional teams to inform strong decisions cross culturally in LeavePlus gathering insights to guide strong governance and informed decision-making.
* Governance and Compliance: Help keep our financial operations compliant and audit-ready. You'll support the Finance leadership team with reporting and analysis, and contribute to strong internal controls and sound financial stewardship.
You will bring:

You will be equipped with:
* A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field
* CA or CPA qualification - completed or near completion
* A minimum 5 years' experience in management accounting or financial reporting
* Ideally a background in government, superannuation, NFP or regulated sectors
* Exposure to payroll operations and reporting
