Job Description
* Preparation of income tax and FBT returns for multiple entities
* Preparation and lodgement of BAS and Instalment activity statements
* Preparing FBT data and liaising with relevant team members to ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory guidelines
* Technical tax support for the payroll function including state and federal taxes
* Support and maintain the groups accounting and tax asset registers
* Various ad hoc research projects to allow for tax planning exercises
* Monthly reconciliation of tax accounts
* Preparation of statutory tax effect accounting and reporting
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this role, you will be able to address the following criteria
* Relevant educational qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar field (CA/CPA/CIMA)
* Proven experience in a tax accountant role
* Comprehensive knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
