We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Professional to join our team.
About the Role
This role involves providing support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns. As a Mental Health Professional, you will work closely with students, parents, carers and school communities to facilitate partnerships in decision making for enhancement of all students' learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional support and information for students, parents, carers and school communities.
* Use evidence-based intervention strategies to support young people experiencing challenges with mental health, and social and emotional wellbeing.
* Provide therapeutic counselling and support through individual or group sessions.
* Facilitate referrals to other allied health professionals and services.
* Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies.
* Develop and/or maintain appropriate data collection and confidential records keeping and reporting systems.
* Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team within an educational setting.
What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A relevant degree in Social Work or a related field.
* Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
