The Role
This position is responsible for leading the successful delivery of the Digital Metering Pilot, ensuring project objectives are met on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. The role will drive project momentum through robust planning, proactive issue resolution, and strong stakeholder engagement. A key focus will be maintaining compliance, promoting safety, and fostering continuous improvement across all phases of the project.
* Lead the full project life cycle, including design, procurement, installation, acceptance testing, handover, and defects liability - ensuring alignment with project objectives.
* Operate with a high degree of autonomy and independence.
* Drive continuous improvement by reviewing project outcomes and implementing enhancements across project phases.
* Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to support effective communication and project alignment.
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, risk registers, progress reports, compliance checklists, and stakeholder communications.

What we're looking for
We are seeking an experienced and proactive project leader to oversee the delivery of our Digital Metering Pilot. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management expertise, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, confidently navigating risks, resolving issues, and maintaining clear communication across the organisation. Your focus on compliance, safety, and continuous improvement will be essential to ensuring the Pilot's successful implementation and long-term value.
* Proven experience leading complex projects, ideally within utilities, technology, or similar operational environments.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities across technical and non-technical groups.
* Formal tertiary qualifications in Project Management, or equivalent relevant competency.
* Minimum 3+ years experience delivering complex project's.
* Experience with leading others through change and meeting deliverables efficiently and effectively.

The Details
This role can be based in either Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport and attracts a salary of $131,265 - $145,850 (inclusive of superannuation), negotiable dependent on experience.
Please note this role is an 18-month max term contract.
