About The Role

The Operations Coordinator, Environmental Services, leads and supports our team of Floor Coordinators and Team Leader’s to undertake their roles and responsibilities effectively and efficiently. This leadership role ensures that Environmental Services are safe, supported and comply with appropriate legislation. This role oversees the daily staff allocation, work scheduling and operations within Environmental Services; to enable the delivery of cleaning, housekeeping, and waste management to a standard commensurate with applicable Aged Care Standards and Safety and Quality in Health Care Standards.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that the daily operational activities are undertaken regarding clinical, project cleans, and special activities i.e. capital and building works are assisted.Ensure that daily staff resources are allocated in an effective manner via the Floor Coordinator; in line with service, budget, and EBA requirements; to achieve optimal outcomes for service deliveryProactively engage with staff to ensure appropriate conduct, behaviours, and communication occurs at all timeUndertake timely conflict resolution and performance management in consultation with Workforce Partner as required.Use appropriate electronic systems to update master rosters and support payroll submission in accordance with EBA requirements and Barwon Health policies & procedures, within approved operational FTE

What We’re Looking For

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in contemporary healthcare cleaning practicesPrior management experience and ability to lead, manage and motivate a large team in either a Healthcare Environmental Services role, or facilities management role and preferable in a customer focussed industry for more than 2 yearsExcellent understanding of rostering, productivity and budgeting, with strong financial acumen
