About us:
BreastScreen Queensland Rockhampton Service operates within the guidelines of the BreastScreen Australia and BreastScreen Queensland Programs. These Programs are funded through Commonwealth/State to provide a free population-based mammography screening and assessment service to women within the target age group 50-74 years. In addition, women aged 40-49 and over 74 can access the Program.
The Service seeks to provide a first-class service to women employing state of the art equipment and providing high level training for all staff members. Staff operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team with a philosophy of excellence.

About the role:
To provide high quality screening and diagnostic mammography to women of Central Queensland and Central West Hospital and Health Services. The mobile breast screening unit, Magnolia, operates as a sole radiographer to 23 sites over a 1-2 year cycle. The Gladstone Satellite Breast Screen Service provides screening only. Screening mammography and diagnostic assessment is performed at the Rockhampton Screening and Assessment Service. Perform mammograms to a high level of technical expertise in order to provide a high quality service to eligible asymptomatic women, in accordance with Breast Screen Australia National Accreditation Standards. Implement policies, protocols and procedures in accordance with BreastScreen Queensland, Quality Standards, Protocols and Procedures Manual, the BreastScreen Australia National Accreditation Standards and Quality Assurance requirements.
About you:
For Radiographers: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or equivalent, or ability to register before commencement. Possession of a Queensland Radiation Use Licence or be eligible for same under the Radiation Safety Act 1999. Must possess Radiation Use Licence prior to commencement. For Mammographers: A Certificate of Mammographic Practice issued by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) or equivalent. Radiographers are expected to commence the CMP within 12 months of commencement. While not mandatory, registration with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) would be highly regarded.
