About the Role

Quaker Houghton is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our Procurement team! This is an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career and gain hands-on experience supporting purchasing operations and data management across our manufacturing network.

This Temporary role will begin in October 2025.

As a Procurement Support Administrator, you'll be the backbone of day-to-day purchasing activities—ensuring materials arrive on time, coordinating with suppliers and planners, and keeping our ERP system humming with clean, accurate data. You'll also help maintain our internal data standards and collaborate across departments to support product setup and vendor onboarding.


Responsibilities
* Process, confirm, and follow up on purchase orders for assigned sites
* Ensure timely supplier acknowledgments match quantity, price, and delivery date
* Update purchasing records in JDE ERP and maintain supplier item relationships
* Liaise with suppliers, planners, and buyers to support production schedules
* Monitor open orders and coordinate rejected/surplus materials

ERP & Data Maintenance
* Assist with product setup, updates, and obsoleting items in JDE
* Enforce data timelines and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accuracy
* Support vendor creation and documentation of work instructions
* Contribute to process improvements and uphold data standards

Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred, or Global Equivalent required.
* 0–2 years of experience in procurement, operations, or related field (chemicals, petrochemicals, etc.) or comparable valuable experience from other areas (marketing, sales, etc.)
* Strong time management and multitasking abilities
* Comfortable working with suppliers and cross-functional teams
* Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, supportive environment
