Our state government client is hiring for Cyber Security consultant/Architect for a program to uplift cyber security across the cluster to reduce the likelihood and impact of a cyber attack.This role is pivotal to help mitigate security risks across, whilst contributing to strengthening the security posture within the organization.Your responsibilities will include: • Development of security solutions and architecting security controls • Hands on implementation of chosen security solutions• Providing expert advice to CISO teams across a wide range of platforms• Documentation of implemented solutions. Hands-on architect who is comfortable designing and implementing complex technical solutions. With the focus of the role being enterprise security architecture and designing controls in complex technical environment.Key skillsA collaborative team player who can work with technical and non-technical teams to ensure appropriate understanding of process, procedures and requirements.Exceptional technical skills across a wide range of systems including Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, CI CD and developer tool stack.Experience in software development and DevSecOps practices. The ability to automate solutions using PowerShell and other scripting tools.Your new role Modernising DevSecOps maturity and removing blockers. Designing developer-friendly security controls that uplift capability across multiple agencies.Enterprise security architecture experience.Strong background in DevSecOps uplift and secure-by-design principles.Familiarity with modern development pipelines and tooling (GitLab, Github)Cloud security knowledge (AWS/Azure) highly regarded.Providing architectural guidance, patterns, diagrams, and technical artefactsDriving secure development through solutioning, not compliance checklists.Day rate: $1200 + superLocation: CBDDuration- 12+monthsWe prefer candidates with Previous experience in similar role.
