Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and organized Event Manager to lead and coordinate events across Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam regions. You will be responsible for managing both physical and virtual and ensuring smooth planning, execution, and follow-up.
Role & Job Description
* Responsible in planning, production and management of all scales of events.
* Acts as a key liaison between all parties including internal/external stakeholders in the event production and management process.
* Responsible for all event logistics and coordination.
* Actively coordinate and liaise with event management vendors (negotiating quotes and agreements).
* Onsite event management on rehearsal and ensure smooth event proceedings.
* Monitor and updating event progress to ensure client satisfaction.
* Reporting status to management team for all events.
* Resolve and troubleshoot issues that emerge during the event day proactively.
* Responsible in preparation of event proceedings, collaterals, briefing notes, duty list and any documents related to event production.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive Event SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality in planning and executing events.
* Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and legal requirements in the planning and execution of events, including adherence to local regulations, venue policies, and organizational standards.
* Compile post-event results such as attendance, feedback, and analyze trends, and recommend improvements to enhance future events.
* Other relevant duties as required.
Require Qualification/Experience
* Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
* At least 3-5 years' experience in handling virtual, hybrid or physical events.
* Experience in project management with a track record of successful events.
* Problem-solving skills and out-of-the-box thinker.
* Excellent communication skills in English. (other SEA languages are a plus).
* Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia and work flexible hours, including weekends.
* Experience working within international students placement/study abroad industry is a strong advantage.
* Culturally sensitive and adaptable across different countries.
