THE ROLE
We are seeking a proactive, passionate people person to join our team in the role of People & Performance Partner. If you share a people first approach, have a special talent for managing people issues, workplace disputes, performance and injury management then we want to hear from you. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
9. Coach Leaders and provide guidance on how to deal with underperformance and misconduct in line with legislation and company policy.
10. Conduct investigations and facilitate meetings in consultation with Leaders relating to workplace conflicts, performance and conduct issues.
11. Partnering with the business to assist with successful resolution of grievances and workplace concerns.
12. Facilitate meetings with Leaders to action team member terminations ensuring procedural fairness.
13. Manage and administer the formal Performance Management system framework for progress and annual performance reviews.
14. Proactively manage workers compensation claims and non work related injuries for successful return to work.
15. Assist with administration of regular Engagement Surveys and analysis of results.
16. Assist with development and delivery of the People Strategy and implementation of key initiatives.
17. Providing generalist advice and operational support to team members and Leaders.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have:
18. Minimum 3 years proven experience working in a business partnering or generalist role.
19. Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline preferred.
20. Demonstrated expertise in managing performance and conduct related issues with Leaders.
21. Proven ability with influencing and coaching Leaders on best practice and providing practical advice on people issues.
22. Sound knowledge of Fairwork Employment Legislation, Industrial Relations and Worksafe Queensland.
23. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and difficult conversations thoughtfully and professionally.
24. A logical thinker, with strong attention to detail and a methodical and structured approach to work.
25. A team player that demonstrates the ability to collaborate, share knowledge and ideas.
26. Experience working with HRIS systems and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
