About the JK Foundation:

JK Foundation programs are remote employment/education and community development service. JK Foundation is providing youth with the opportunity to realise their potential via improved access to education, health and wellbeing resources and by providing pathway towards a successful and fulfilling future. JK Foundation supports youth in remote Australia to build skills, address barriers and contribute to their communities through a range of flexible activities.

About the roles:

JKF is expanding it's staff team. Opportunities exist immediately in Mullewa and in future in Geraldton and Morawa.

Casual and part-time opportunities exist for Youth and Programs Workers across a range of programs in Geraldton and based in Mullewa and Morawa or able to travel to them. A Coordinator role in Morawa could exist for the right person. Work flexibly and with purpose to impact your local community working with young people.

Roles will be responsible for organising, presenting and delivering Foundation programs and activities with students in schools as part of the JKF School Engagement Program and young people in the community through other programs and activities after school and in the school holidays and with at-risk young people. Building relationship and working individually with identified students and youth participants and support networks to mentor and assist them into employment/education/health and training opportunities.

Key responsibilities involve:

* Coordinating the development and implementation of School and Community Engagement programs in Mullewa and Morawa, working with the District High School and working alongside other organisations to support young people.

* Delivering and organising meaningful youth programs in schools, after school and in school holidays.

* Organising and delivering Foundation sport, youth, well-being and workshop programs in schools and community settings.

* Delivering and organising meaningful after school and school holiday activities to engage local youth.

* Working individually with youth participants and support networks to mentor and assist them into employment/education/finance/health and training opportunities.

* Supporting at-risk young people one on one and in group workshop settings in Geraldton.

You will have a relevant qualification/training/education and/or relevant previous experience working with young people or in school environment and with indigenous communities; Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team; Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative style; An "LR" or "MR" license is desirable.
