We have a great opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Officer to join our Operations team on a full‐time permanent basis. Working across our three iconic racecourses, Caulfield, Mornington and Sportsbet Sandown, you'll play a key role in keeping our venues looking and operating at their best. This role is all about making things happen behind the scenes. You'll support the day‐to‐day upkeep of our facilities, ensuring our race days and events are delivered to a consistently high standard. From planned maintenance to quick‐turnaround fixes, your work will directly contribute to the presentation, safety and overall experience of our venues. In The Saddle
* Keep our venues looking and performing at their best through a mix of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance works.
* Carry out pre‐race day and pre‐event checks, spotting and resolving issues before they impact the guest experience.
* Work side by side with contractors and internal teams to deliver timely, high‐quality repairs and solutions.
* Play a key role in the delivery of race days and events, supporting bump in and bump out and responding to what's needed in the moment.
* Stay across site presentation with regular inspections, well‐managed stock, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
* Get involved in site‐specific work, from car track support at Sandown to minor projects that enhance our venues.
Your Track Record
* Extensive hands‐on experience in general maintenance, facilities or trade‐based work, using hand and power tools.
* Solid understanding of safe work practices and OH&S requirements.
* Ability to troubleshoot issues and deliver practical, timely solutions.
* Experience working with contractors or suppliers in a site or operational environment.
* Confidence managing competing priorities and responding to changing operational needs.
* A current driver's licence.
* Forklift and/or EWP licence (Desirable).
* Trade qualification in a related field (Desirable).
As part of a live events environment, flexibility is required to work across weekends, public holidays, and outside standard business hours in line with event schedules.
