About the Role
This position plays a pivotal frontline carer role with a focus on nutrition and dining. The successful candidate will support residents to live a life of fulfilment through person-centred care and support according to their needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, deliver, present and serve resident meals
* Assist residents with meal selection and meal timing preferences
* Set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences
* Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes
* Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect
* Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required
Requirements
* Demonstrated customer service skills
* A compassionate and caring attitude
* Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
* Willingness to take direction from others
* Reliability and shift flexibility
* Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
* Valid working rights in Australia
* Seasonal Flu vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
* Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination
