Job Overview: As a Carpenter with Khokhar Constructions Pty Ltd, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality construction and installation work for our projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our team to ensure that all work meets our high standards of quality and safety. You will handle a range of tasks, from framework construction to detailed finishing work, ensuring each structure is built to last and satisfies client expectations.
Task & Responsibilities:
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for the following duties:
· Review and interpret drawings and specifications to identify materials, dimensions, and installation steps required.
· Order and select appropriate timber and other materials, ensuring accurate layout preparation.
· Cut, assemble, and secure wooden parts for structures.
· Build frameworks, roof framing, sub-flooring, and floorboards, ensuring accuracy and structural integrity.
· Install fascia panels, sheathing, exterior wall cladding, and frames for doors and windows.
· Assemble and prepare wood structures and fittings for installation.
· Construct wood joints and concrete formwork as required.
· Repair existing fittings and structures as necessary.
· Work with specialty materials such as plastic laminates, perspex, and metals, as needed.
· Follow safety protocols and ensure all work meets industry standards and company quality expectations.
Qualification & Experience:
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in carpentry or a related field.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
· At least certificate III or IV in the relevant field.
· Proficient in material selection, layout, framework, roofing, flooring, wood assembly, concrete formwork, and structural repairs.
· Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and quality standards.
· Sound knowledge of building products, processes, trades, and relevant tools.
· White Card.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Motivated and driven to produce high-quality results.
· Ability to work autonomously and within a small team.
· Valid driving licence.
