Project Manager - Heavy Lift
The Project Manager - Heavy Lift is a critical role within the Construction and Engineering industry, requiring expertise in leading complex engineering projects involving heavy lift activities.
Reporting to the Heavy Lift Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and management of heavy lift operations, including lifting plans, rigging designs, and equipment specifications. A Bachelor's degree in civil, structural or mechanical engineering is required, along with in-depth knowledge of heavy lift equipment, rigging and lifting techniques.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop engineering solutions based on the heavy transport and installation requirements using SPMTs.
* Perform structural analysis and stress calculations to ensure the integrity of structures during lifting operations.
* Develop rigging designs, selecting appropriate rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, and spreader bars.
* Communicate lifting plans and safety procedures to the rigging crew and other stakeholders.
* Oversee the setup and execution of rigging operations, ensuring compliance with lifting plans and safety protocols.
* Provide technical guidance and support to the rigging crew during lifting operations.
* Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
* Lead and manage heavy lift engineering projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
