About the Role
As part of this growth trajectory, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the team following an internal promotion. The role will lead one of the organisation's major upcoming energy infrastructure projects, overseeing all phases from engineering and procurement through to construction and commissioning.
Reporting to the Projects Operations Manager, the position will manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, construction personnel and subcontractors. While there will be periods of site based work, the role offers flexibility to work from the office or home during engineering and procurement stages.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver projects in line with scope, budget and schedule requirements
* Lead and coordinate design, procurement and construction activities
* Manage subcontractors and site operations to ensure safe and quality outcomes
* Oversee budgets, variations and reporting to maintain commercial performance
* Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement and HSEQ teams
* Build strong client relationships through effective communication and project reporting
Skills and Experience
* Degree or trade qualification in Engineering or a related field
* Demonstrated experience managing large scale industrial or energy projects
* Minimum of three years' experience working in a similar role within the Australian market, with a sound understanding of local industry standards, work practices and regulations
* Strong understanding of both design and construction delivery
* Proven capability in contract administration, cost control and project reporting
* Experience leading teams of engineers, supervisors and subcontractors
* Proactive communication style with strong stakeholder management and problem solving skills
