Chef de partie required
Our busy kitchen requires a full-time qualified Chef to join us. Canteen by Ramen Daddy is an owner operated business. The owners are committed to provide staff with a positive team environment and a healthy work-life balance.
The position has excellent work conditions with training and development opportunities. The successful candidate will be well supported by our existing team and head chef.
The right candidate should have:
Certificate IV in kitchen management or diploma of hospitality management
Relevant 2 years' experience in commercial kitchen
* Ability to communicate with kitchen staff, managers and guests
Demonstrate outstanding recipe knowledge for items on the food menus
Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and produce high quality of food under pressure
* Ability to work as a productive team player
* Knowledge of WH&S produce and ensure the procedure are adhered by all kitchen staff
* Maintain the hygiene and cleanness of the kitchen area
The position's duties and responsibilities include:
· Prepare dishes and organize kitchen operation
· Coordinates daily tasks with the Head Chef and sous Chef
· Monitor food quality and portion and ensure high customer satisfaction
· Monitor and control wastage, portion control
· Stock control
· Supervise and support junior kitchen staff inclunding cooks and apprentices.
· Responsible in ensuring food safety and kitchen sanitation standard
Salary: $70,000-$80,000 p.a. +super
