Coral Expeditions is Australia’s pioneering cruise line, specialising in immersive adventures by small expedition ship. The role
The Chief Engineer is a key onboard management position, working closely with the Master to ensure the safety of the vessel, passengers, and crew.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program;
Maintaining engine and engine room cleanliness and condition;
Maintaining pumps, hydraulic, electrical, lighting, and bridge equipment;
Fuel and oil bunkering as required;
Complying with oil pollution regulations and maintaining the oil record book;
Adhering to all regulations, ISM standards, and codes of conduct;
Maintaining ship manuals as required by AMSA;
Standing watch unless attending to emergency mechanical or electrical issues;
Providing guest presentations and engine room tours;
Occasional dining with guests.

Engineer Class 1 or 2 AMSA Endorsed;
Crowd Control & Crisis Management;
AMSA International Medical;
First Aid & CPR;
Passport;
ASSB or equivalent discharge book.
