Booth Transport is a national, family‐owned transport company with depot operations across Australia. We are seeking a hands‐on, multi‐skilled team member to join our Farm Milk Collection operation based at Nangwarry in South Australia's Limestone Coast region.
This is a varied role combining yard, operations and driving duties. It would suit someone who enjoys keeping a small operation running on time, takes pride in well‐presented equipment, and is happy to jump behind the wheel when the run calls for it.
Reporting to the South Australian Regional Manager, you will be the day‐to‐day point of contact for our SA FPU operations, coordinating a small fleet of farm pickup trucks and supporting drivers, customers and the broader operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Scheduling and dispatching 3–5 farm milk pickup trucks to meet daily collection windows
* Rostering drivers, managing leave coverage and ensuring fatigue and BFM compliance
* Washing and presentation of trucks, trailers and tanker barrels to food‐grade standard
* Assisting with milk transfers and tanker handovers at the depot
* Ensuring compliance across food safety, dangerous goods, Chain of Responsibility, NHVR and WHS obligations
* Driving farm pickup runs when required to cover leave, peak demand or breakdowns
* Building and maintaining strong working relationships with farmers, processors and customers
* Day‐to‐day liaison with the Burton depot and the SA Regional Manager on operational issues
About You
* Previous experience in farm milk collection, bulk liquid or tanker work highly regarded
* Demonstrated ability to schedule trucks and roster drivers in a time‐critical operation
* Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management (BFM) and food safety requirements
* Strong customer service skills and a calm, professional approach with farmers and staff
* Computer literate – comfortable using a Transport Management System, driver apps and email
* Clean driving record and current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
* Self‐motivated, reliable and able to work unsupervised
