Western Grammar School is a co-educational K-12 school that has been in operation since 2012. Full Time High School Teacher

Due to the expansion of the school Western Grammar is currently recruiting High School Teachers to join our dynamic team:

High School Teacher (7-12): As a high school teacher you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of our students. Working alongside support team and under the guidance of our visionary leadership team.

Curriculum Delivery:

· Design and deliver lessons aligned with the NSW syllabus, incorporating differentiated teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

· Develop teaching plans and resources that are engaging, innovative, and meet syllabus outcomes.

· Use technology effectively to enhance learning and teaching practices.

Student Assessment and Reporting:

· Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to students.

· Maintain accurate records of student performance and report on progress to parents and stakeholders.

· Prepare students for external examinations, adhering to NESA requirements.

Classroom Management:

· Establish a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.

· Manage student behaviour effectively, implementing school policies and procedures.

· Encourage positive relationships among students, promoting collaboration and mutual respect.

Professional Development:

· Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with teaching practices, curriculum updates, and educational technologies.

· Engage in reflective practice to continually improve teaching methods.

· Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practices.

Pastoral Care and Student Well-being:

· Support students' social, emotional, and academic needs through pastoral care initiatives.

· Identify and address any barriers to learning, liaising with parents, counsellors, and support staff as necessary.

· Promote an inclusive school culture that values diversity and equity.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Secondary Education or a related field (required).

· Experience: Teaching experience in an educational setting

· Skills: Exceptional communication, organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills.

Skills and Attributes:

· Strong knowledge of the NSW High School curriculum.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to develop and implement creative and engaging teaching strategies.

· Competence in classroom management and student engagement.

· Commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.

· Experience with integrating technology and innovative practices into the classroom.

Employment Conditions:

· Employment terms are governed by the NSW Department of Education or relevant school regulations.

· Teachers work standard school hours but may be required to attend after-school activities, meetings, or professional development sessions.

· Participation in school initiatives and events, including sports days and other activities, is expected.

Remuneration: $77,000 (Conditional Level 1) to $121,000 (Highly Accomplished) per annum – pay is determined by the NESA accreditation level and the number of years of experience.
