The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher - Design and Technology to join our team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering an engaging curriculum in a range of Design and Technology contexts using a student-focused approach.
They should have a strong understanding of the requirements across Technologies to ensure students can reach their full potential in all aspects of the Technology and Design Process.
The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching lower and upper school courses, as well as knowledge and skills in leading whole-school literacy strategies and integrating innovative ICT into classroom learning.
They will also have the ability to develop high-quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Certificate II in Automotive and/or Mechanical Engineering or willingness to obtain one would be advantageous.
* Strong knowledge and skills in being able to lead and embed whole-school literacy strategies.
* Experience in teaching various technologies concepts, including Woods, Metals, and/or Digital Technology skills.
The successful applicant will ideally possess a dynamic and dedicated approach to teaching and learning.
They will be highly committed, collaborative, and possess a strong ability to work effectively with our dedicated team.

Selection Criteria
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
* Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights.
* Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting employment.
* Consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
