About the Role:
This role is responsible for formulating regulations and policy to make recommendations on key cross-cutting policy issues related to international maritime pollution prevention conventions and their implementation in Australia. As an Assistant Director, you will be responsible for developing policy and advising stakeholders on environmental protection outcomes.
* Research and analyse environmental issues to inform policy development
* Lead the development of policy briefs for International Maritime Organization meetings
* Contribute to the analysis and formulation of policy related to maritime environment protection issues
The ideal candidate will have experience developing and administering policy, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
