CareSong Busselton is a warm and welcoming singing group for people living with dementia and their carers and we need friendly, caring volunteers like you
Launching 3 July ****, the group meets every Thursday afternoon from 1pm3pm at the Busselton Senior Citizens Centre (22 Peel Terrace).
Singing takes place from 1pm to 2:15pm, followed by a relaxed afternoon tea until 3pm.
Whether you're helping with set-up, joining in the singing, offering a friendly smile, or pouring the tea your presence will help make the space inclusive and joyful.
No musical experience needed Come weekly or fortnightly were flexible and supportive.

Director / Musician Lead the Session, Set the Tone.
Take the reins for a weekly session
Plan the set list, coordinate the volunteer roster, and lead the group with music and energy.
You'll need basic skills on guitar, piano or similar (just 10 chords gets you far).
Bring cheer, guide the singing, prep light rhythm/vocal activities, and make the session flow.
Stay for afternoon tea and share the joy.
Musician Support the Music, Share the Spotlight.
Join the musical magic
Accompany the Director, help lead songs, or take the lead on a few.
Contribute to the song list and lift the group with your instrument and/or voice.
When no Director is present, you might step into their shoes.
Afternoon Tea Coordinator Bring the Warmth (and the Biscuits).
Team up to provide and serve a welcoming afternoon tea.
Make sure theres a mix of sweet, savoury, fruit and gluten-free options.
Set up at 2pm, pack down from 2:45pm, and share the experience over a cuppa and a chat.
Admin Volunteer Keep Things Ticking.
Manage the behind-the-scenes essentials: attendance, payments, badges, new member forms, and reimbursements.
Make sure latecomers feel welcomed.
Admins also sing and help out during the session.
Singer / Observer Be Present, Be Kind, Be Aware.
Welcome people, help with books and seating, and support those who may need gentle assistance during the session.
Be a friendly face, watchful eye, and social companion especially for people living with dementia.
Share the joy of singing while quietly ensuring everyone feels safe and included.
