The Department Our maternity unit is a 25-bed post/antenatal/gynaecology ward with 5 birthing suite rooms. Supporting this service is a 9-bed level 4 Special Care Nursery. Your duties will include: · Monitoring Neonates and recording observations · Daily care of babies in SCN · Supporting and assisting with feeding of babies · Supporting families with bonding during their stay · Use of CPAP equipment · Ability to work shift work Essential Criteria: · Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA · Minimum of 2 years Neonatal nursing level 4 nursery experience · Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery · CPAP competent · Commitment to Quality Patient Care · Compliance with ACQSHC National standards · Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills · Excellent communication and customer service skills · Works well independently and within a team Intermediate computer skills Desirable Criteria: · Post graduate qualifications in Neonatal nursing (or working towards) Why Healthscope?
