We're looking for a Tax Manager to join our Melbourne Tax Services team. This role offers exposure to a diverse client base and a broad range of tax matters, including domestic and cross‐border advisory and compliance. You'll work closely with Partners and other service lines to deliver high‐quality outcomes, while also leading and developing a growing team. This role would suit an experienced Tax professional who enjoys combining strong technical expertise with people leadership and client relationships, and who is looking for a clear pathway to future career progression.Your ResponsibilitiesDeliver high‐quality tax advisory and compliance services across corporate and international tax matters, including complex transactions and CbC reportingProvide technically sound, commercial advice to clients operating across a range of industries and jurisdictionsAssist with complex technical issues and ATO matters, working closely with PartnersBuild and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisorManage and mentor team members, including delegation, coaching, performance management and developmentContribute to the strategic planning and growth of the Tax Services divisionIdentify business development opportunities and support cross‐division collaborationEnsure work is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality standardsWhat We're Looking ForA relevant university qualification with 5+ years' experience in business tax (Manager level)Postgraduate qualifications such as CA, CTA and/or a Masters of TaxProven experience in a tax advisory or professional services environmentStrong technical capability across corporate and/or international taxDemonstrated experience managing client engagements and leading teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA collaborative, relationship‐driven approach aligned to our CARE valuesStrong attention to detail, commercial acumen, and the ability to juggle competing prioritiesThe William Buck DifferenceOur commitment to your success goes beyond the role.
