We are currently looking to hire a full-time Motor Mechanic to join our team at our address on 2793 Waterford Tamborine Road, Tamborine QLD 4270. If you believe this position aligns with your skills, please apply now. Duties and responsibilities: Discuss problems with vehicle operators to discover faults. Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing vehicles in compliance with manufacturer’s guidelines and ensuring compliance with regulations. Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tyres. Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components such as transmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes etc. to diagnose issues accurately. Repair or replace broken, worn, or dysfunctional parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings etc. and test and reassemble components. Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection. Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use. Re-lines and adjusts brakes and perform wheel alignments. Dismantles engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, or other components and checks parts. Test and re-adjust to ensure repairs and maintenance are effective using testing equipment or computers before handing over to the Client. Performing duties in a timely and accurate manner Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job. Keep logs on work and issues and ensure vehicles are in roadworthy order. Maintain equipment and tools in good condition. Explain to clients their automotive problems and the repairs done on their vehicles. Qualification and experiences Minimum Certificate III qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology is required. At least two years of experience in a similar role is required. Enthusiastic and motivated individual. Friendly, positive & approachable attitude. Adherence to OH&S Regulations.
