This position is based at our rapidly expanding Manufacturing facility is based in Morgan Park, Qld, only 2 hours from Brisbane and 1 hour from Toowoomba. The expansion of our Morgan Park location will allow us to manufacture and supply to all national branches creating faster processes and the ability to scale up

Role
This role is for a Paint Preparation / Sander, who has an interest in automotive / manufactured products. Working within a team and reporting directly to the Paint Team Leader, you will be required to prepare surfaces, paints and products ready for painting whilst maintaining a clean and organised area. Products that require preparation include Toolboxes, Service Bodies, Truck Bodies, Vehicle Trays and an assortment of manufactured vehicle components. A keen eye for detail and desire for high quality finishes is a must.
Tasks & responsibilities
 * Surface preparation of aluminium parts using sanding and cleaning techniques
 * Minor dent and scratch repair prior to painting
 * Masking and taping components to specification
 * Safe and efficient operation of paint prep equipment
 * Maintain a clean and organised work area
 * Collaborate with paint shop and production teams to meet quality standards
Requirements
 * Report to Paint Team Leader with a Can-Do approach
 * Have a positive attitude and work well within a team
 * Understand and follow Safety Policies and Procedures
 * The ability to work under pressure
 * Reliability & punctuality
Qualifications & experience (Preferred but not essential)
 * Experience as a spray painter (preferably in automotive, or industrial sectors).
 * Painting and surface preparation experience an advantage
 * Familiarity with airless spray guns, HVLP (high-volume, low-pressure) spray guns, or electrostatic painting.
 * Knowledge of paint types, coatings, and surface preparation techniques.
