**Clinical Claims Specialist Opportunity**
We are seeking an experienced claims professional to join our team as a Clinical Claims Manager.
This 12-month contract position is available on a part-time basis (0.8 FTE, with consideration for 0.6 FTE).
The successful candidate will be based in Melbourne VIC and report directly to the National Director Medico Legal.

**About the Role**
As a Clinical Claims Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing medical malpractice and public liability claims across our hospital network.
You will be responsible for managing claims in collaboration with legal and hospital teams, providing medico-legal advice and support to hospital staff, maintaining claims registers, and generating reports for executive and audit purposes.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage clinical and liability claims in collaboration with legal and hospital teams.
- Provide medico-legal advice and support to hospital staff.
- Maintain claims registers and generate reports for executive and audit purposes.
- Assist in implementing software solutions for tracking legal spend.
- Identify trends and contribute to risk management training.
**What You'll Bring**
- Minimum 3 years' experience in claims management (insurer, self-insured, or legal practice).
- Tertiary qualification in law, health, or business.
- Strong understanding of litigation and civil procedure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
**Desirable**
- Eligibility to hold a legal practicing certificate.
- Knowledge of health law and personal injury claims.
