The Opportunity
We have two office locations in Australia – Sydney and Brisbane. Both the product and production teams are based in Brisbane.
The businesses are currently known as LW Reid and Mountcastle, however will transition to Trutex Australia – under the Schoolblazer Group – from 1st April 2026.
We are seeking an experienced Product Team Lead to drive our product development activity. This role is central to improving margins, elevating product quality, and delivering commercially successful ranges within leadtime.
You will lead the Product Development team and partner closely with the global sourcing team, production team, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure our products are competitive, compliant, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Product Development team
* Own product strategy, specification, and development processes
* Drive margin improvement through sourcing and cost optimisation
* Manage supplier selection and long-term sourcing strategy
* Support costing, quoting, and commercial decision-making
* Partner with Sales, Planning and Production to align range and pricing
About You
* Proven experience in product management or development within apparel
* Strong commercial acumen and costing expertise
* Deep understanding of offshore sourcing and supplier negotiation
* Confident communicator who builds strong relationships and values a strong culture
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail, and people-centric
