Park Care Manager Role
Enhance Hobart's parks and open spaces through strategic planning, contractor coordination, and community engagement.
* Manage contractors to ensure compliance with City standards and specifications
* Create the Park Care program, liaising with community groups and organising weekend activities and rosters
* Maintain inspection programs for green assets and contribute to long-term park improvement and planting plans.
* Respond professionally to public enquiries, ensuring all communications are documented appropriately.
* Assist with policy reviews and service level documentation to support high-quality park management.
About You
You're a proactive professional with a strong background in horticulture and parks management.
* A certificate IV in Horticulture (or similar) and current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
* Demonstrated experience in managing parks operations, including contractor oversight and project delivery
* Strong horticultural knowledge with the ability to prepare technical specifications and manage procurement processes
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders, resolve issues, and communicate effectively.
* Proficiency in maintaining asset databases and planning for both short and long-term park improvements.
