We're seeking a collaborative and dynamic Commercial Finance Partner to drive performance and strategic decision-making across our operations business.
As a trusted Finance Partner, you'll provide commercial insight, financial advice, and forward-thinking support. From setting annual targets and building robust financial plans to forecasting, defining performance metrics, and delivering impactful reporting, your work will help guide critical decisions and ensure we get the most value from our resources.
You'll be responsible for leading, managing, and mentoring a small team of financial professionals to support our operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing financial advice and direction to the Operations executive and Operations leadership team.
* Identifying and monitoring key financial and operational metrics to enable timely and pro-active response to identified trends.
* Working with the Operations business leads to establish annual budgets and forecasts with key assumptions rationalised, clearly articulated and endorsed.
* Reviewing and challenging initiatives within Operations to ensure that business decisions are made with a clear understanding of likely financial outcomes.
* Defining business requirements and structures that allow visibility of spend, identification of waste, business performance improvement, and drive accountability.
Successful candidates will have the following attributes:
* Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, economics or another relevant quantitative degree (minimum).
* Post graduate qualifications in accounting and/or finance holding current CA/CPA qualifications.
* Previous experience in people management and development.
* Significant experience in finance, including Corporate Finance and preferably within energy, mining, large infrastructure or similar organisation.
* Ability to influence senior stakeholders/challenge the business and drive results.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
* Full Australian working rights with no restrictions.
