Job Title: IT Disaster Recovery Specialist
This is a unique opportunity to work as an IT Disaster Recovery Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing customers' continuity requirements and providing IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) Services. Your primary objective will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality customer delivery of ITSCM Services, with the goal of achieving Disaster Recovery readiness aligned with customers' Service Continuity Plans.
About The Role:
* You will lead teams in assessing, developing, coordinating, and communicating recovery environment requirements and plans for our customers.
* Ensure that Disaster Recovery plans align with relevant legislation and organisational insurance requirements.
* Identify recovery requirements for new applications and systems and manage implementation of recovery and availability techniques and technologies, reviewing periodically for ongoing validity.
* Maintain monthly status reporting, plans, and other Disaster Recovery documentation.
* Represent the ITSCM service on behalf of Datacom to your customers.
* Deliver high quality ITSCM services ensuring compliance with relevant Customer and Datacom policies, processes, and procedures.
* Ensure all stakeholders adhere to relevant processes in line with customer requirements and best practices.
* Support customer Business Continuity and ITSCM projects as required.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial IT, with a background in both mainframe and client/server technologies.
* Thorough, expert knowledge of information systems, operating systems, databases, and networking.
* Excellent customer relationship building and management skills with the ability to network and develop productive relationships with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
