Overview
This position offers the chance to step into a highly visible engineering role within a business that is continuing to expand its renewable energy portfolio across Australia. You'll gain exposure to utility-scale Solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects at different stages of development, broadening your technical capability across HV systems, grid connection design, and project delivery. Role
Reporting into the senior development and engineering leadership team, you will support the development and delivery of major renewable energy infrastructure projects across Australia. You will work closely with internal project teams, EPC contractors, consultants and equipment suppliers to drive technical outcomes across the project lifecycle. This role will suit an Electrical Engineer with experience across renewable energy, utility infrastructure, HV systems or battery storage projects who enjoys working across both technical and commercial aspects of project development.
Responsibilities
* Support project architecture and electrical connection design for utility-scale renewable projects
* Review and manage EPC design deliverables across Solar and BESS developments
* Assist with HV electrical, protection and SCADA concept design
* Support tendering, contractor selection and technical negotiations
* Coordinate technical interfaces between contractors, consultants and stakeholders
* Contribute to cost estimates, site investigations and early work scopes
Qualifications
* Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
* Experience within renewable energy, utilities, HV infrastructure or energy projects
* Strong understanding of HV systems and electrical design principles
* Exposure to Solar, BESS or grid connection projects
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
