We are looking for an experienced Workshop Fitter Machinist to join our team in Mackay QLD.
This role is suitable for a mechanically minded person with good attention to detail. You will be self-motivated and adaptable as the job requires.

Duties And Responsibilities
Build and recondition driveshafts for automotive, commercial, off-highway, and industrial applications.
Machine driveline components.
Assemble, weld, and balance driveshafts.
Perform general workshop duties as required.
As a Workshop Fitter, you will report to the Branch Manager and work as part of a team in Mackay QLD.

To Be Successful In This Role You Need
Well-developed fitting and machining skills from a workshop environment.
Sound mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
Experience with manual lathes and welding equipment (essential).
Flexibility with job tasks.
Willingness to participate in ongoing training and be open to new ideas.
Strong safety and quality focus, with adherence to health & safety policies.
Teamwork spirit and a proactive attitude to help achieve business targets.
Certificate 2 in Engineering and basic machining skills are desirable.
