**The role**
Key responsibilities include:
- Efficiently assist to conduct helicopter aerial firefighting / fire ground support tasking, training and SAR operations.
- Undertaking aircrew duties in accordance with CareFlight's policy and procedures; and
- Participating in Aircrew Officer training, as required / requested by Rotary Wing managers.
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Certificate IV in Aviation (Aircrewman) including Winching competency.
- 300 hours as a helicopter Aircrew Officer/Winch Operator.
- Sound understanding rules and regulations pertaining to the ACO role within a rotary wing operation.
- Demonstrated understanding of and competency with CRM, Risk Management and Safety Management Systems.
- Current HUET Qualification.
- Current CASA Class 2 Medical.
**The following will be highly regarded**:
- B412/BK117 experience.
- Previous Fire/SAR/Utility experience.
- Front Left-Hand ACO experience.
- NVIS experience.
