Pikko is a VC-backed fresh cat food subscription brand producing 100% human-grade, gently cooked meals delivered directly to customers. Following strong early traction, we are entering our next phase of growth and expanding nationally. We are building a disciplined, performance-led marketing function focused on efficient acquisition, strong retention and scalable unit economics.
The Role
This is a highly hands‐on role. In the early phase, you will take direct ownership across paid acquisition, lifecycle marketing and conversion optimisation, working closely with freelancers where needed. As the business scales, you will build out the growth function.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Acquisition
* Own and directly execute campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok and relevant channels
* Scale spend responsibly while maintaining target CAC and payback
* Launch and test new ad creatives weekly across Meta and other paid channels
* Monitor blended MER and contribution margin
SEO & SEM
* Lead paid search strategy and execution
* Develop and oversee SEO initiatives to drive sustainable organic growth
* Optimise landing pages for both search performance and conversion
Lifecycle Marketing
* Own email and SMS as core revenue channels
* Build and optimise automated lifecycle flows
* Improve churn and increase LTV through segmentation and testing
* Develop reactivation, upsell and cross-sell strategies
Martech & Infrastructure
* Build and scale the marketing technology stack
* Own tracking, attribution and data integrity
* Manage integrations across Shopify, subscription systems and lifecycle platforms
* Establish reporting frameworks tied to commercial outcomes
* Improve landing pages and funnel performance
* Run structured pricing, bundle and offer tests
* Optimise Shopify subscription flows and checkout experience
* Implement practical CRO testing and iterate quickly
* Brief and manage UGC creators for performance‐led content
* Collaborate with designers to develop high‐converting creative
* Translate performance insights into clear creative direction
Team & Growth Function Development
* Recruit and build the marketing team as the business scales
* Establish scalable processes across acquisition and retention
* Work cross‐functionally with operations and finance to align growth with profitability
What We Are Looking For
* Strong experience in ecommerce growth or performance marketing
* Shopify experience and mastery
* Proven hands‐on experience scaling paid media budgets
* Strong working knowledge of Shopify and ecommerce ecosystems
* Experience with lifecycle platforms such as Klaviyo
* Familiarity with tracking, attribution and marketing integrations
* Working knowledge of SEO and paid search
* Strong understanding of CAC, LTV, payback period and contribution margin
* Subscription experience highly regarded
* Comfortable operating in a fast‐moving, high‐accountability environment
