Job Title: Medical Physicist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Physicist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering medical physics services, ensuring the safe and effective use of healthcare technology.
Key Responsibilities:
* Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, equipment suppliers, service providers, team members, and managers, to achieve service delivery objectives.
* Participate in quality control programs and radiation protection programs for all diagnostic imaging modalities, ensuring optimum performance and safe radiation levels.
* Assist in the purchase of diagnostic imaging and associated systems, including preparing technical specifications, undertaking technical assessments, and evaluating tender responses.
* Participate in quality improvement projects and scientific research and development, primarily in new or improved diagnostic imaging techniques and radiation safety.
Requirements:
* A recognised Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Physics.
* A post-graduate qualification relevant to medical physics is well regarded.
* The ability to obtain a Queensland radiation use licence and accreditation certificate within 12 months of appointment.
