About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a motivated and passionate ecologist to join our team. This role will suit a graduate that is looking to gain entry into ecological consulting on a large infrastructure project. While the position is casual, the hours will be 40+ each week.
To be successful in this role you must have a self-driven interest in ecology and passion to grow your ecological knowledge. You must be able to work in the field independently and be comfortable liaising with clients face-to-face. You must have your own car.

Key Responsibilities:
Conducting ecological assessment prior to the removal of vegetation and fauna habitat, including:
* Identifying and demarcating threatened plants and habitat for threatened fauna.
* Identifying priority weeds.
* Targeted threatened flora and fauna surveys.
* Use of a GPS-enabled tablet.
* Preparing pre-clearing and post-clearing reports.
You will also be required to be present during vegetation/ habitat clearing to catch and relocate any fauna displaced by the clearing activities.
This is primarily a field-based role so you must be comfortable working long hours in the field, including staying away from home during the week.
You must have a construction white card.
To be eligible for this position you must have legal work rights to work in Australia.
