We are currently seeking a skilled individual to fill this role in a full-time capacity, based in Pittsworth, QLD.Salary Range - $110,000 to $130,000At McLean Farms our core values guide everything we do:We Care – We nurture our people, animals, environment, workplace, and communityWe Are One Team – We work together towards a common goal in a respectful and effective mannerWe Aim for Excellence – We strive to improve continuouslyWe Find a Way – We work together to find solutions to every challengeWe Do the Right Thing – We make decisions and choose behaviours knowing what is right and what is wrongKey ResponsibilitiesConduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on MOBA egg grading machines and associated plant equipment to ensure reliable performance.Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance functions in accordance with the engineering maintenance plan, documenting all work accurately.Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults, repairing or replacing components, and restoring operations to minimise production downtime.Analyse equipment failures, identify root causes, and recommend improvements or design modifications to enhance reliability and efficiency.Utilise the MEX Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for accurate record keeping, work order management, and parts requisition.Manage tools, spare parts, and materials effectively, ensuring availability for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.Communicate and collaborate with production and operations staff to align maintenance activities with production requirements and minimise disruption.Maintain compliance with engineering standards, WHS regulations, and company policies, ensuring all work meets specifications and safety requirements.Liaise with engineering and equipment suppliers to support integration of new systems, upgrades, or modifications to existing machinery.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimise machinery performance and reduce operational costs.Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a safe, clean, and organised condition in line with workplace health and safety practices.Provide guidance and training to operators and production staff on basic equipment care, safe use, and reporting of maintenance issues.About YouAdvanced Diploma or Diploma in the relevant field of studies, or if no formal qualifications, at least 2 years relevant work experience requiredProven experience with PLC programming and complex machinery maintenanceExperience with MOBA machinery is desiredStrong communicator, with the ability to write reports and liaise with various teamsExcellent planning and time management skillsConfident using a range of computer programsWhat We OfferA supportive team culture within a proudly family-owned Australian farming businessA varied and hands-on role – no two days are the sameOn-the-job learning and development opportunities.To learn more about McLean Farms and what we do, please visit our website: candidates are encouraged to apply - visa sponsorship is available for qualified applicants.You must not have any birds, pigs or poultry at home, and you must not regularly come into contact with birds, pigs or poultry in order to work at McLean Farms.Please ensure that you have read the Bio-Security Document on the right-hand side.To proceed with employment shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a Pre-employment functional assessment and Drug and Alcohol testing.
