Work Hours and Requirements
General hours are 40 hours per week with overtime opportunity. Hours and shift patterns tend to fall on days; however, evenings, nights, and weekends work may be required. On-call rota participation is necessary, especially if you have access to a company van.
Who is Chevron Traffic Management?
Chevron Traffic Management sets up temporary road or lane closures, diversions, pedestrian walkways, and more to ensure safety during roadworks. Our work includes installing cones, signage, temporary traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, and barriers. We also engage in consulting, planning, designing, estimating, liaising with suppliers and clients, and innovating to improve safety and reduce carbon footprint. Traffic management is a challenging but rewarding industry, and our team makes it enjoyable.
Responsibilities
Undertaking traffic counts, client and subcontractor calls, timings, near misses
Maintaining temporary traffic lights
Installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management equipment such as cones, signs, frames, sandbags
Assisting and guiding new trainees
Qualifications and Skills
SLG Unit 2 or M1 / M2 qualification minimum
12d Lantra qualification is highly desirable
Knowledge of Chapter 8
Full driving license with no more than 6 points; bans must be expired for at least 5 years
Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests
Positive attitude, adaptability, meticulous attention to detail
