We're currently recruiting for either a Band 5 or Band 4:
Local Laws Officers – Band 5
The Local Laws Officer supports the Team Leader in the administration and enforcement of Council's local laws, animal management, and compliance programs. The role acts as the senior officer in the Team Leader's absence and provides guidance to the Local Laws Support Officer. This position exercises independent judgement in complex enforcement scenarios and contributes to operational planning, ensuring a safe and regulated community environment.
Requirements for the position
* Government Investigation Cert IV (Statutory Compliance) and Cert IV Animal Control and Regulation or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years experience in a local government enforcement role, including demonstrated experience in mentoring others.

Local Laws Support Officer – Band 4
The Local Laws Support Officer will provide assistance to the community in relation to the administration and enforcement of our local laws ensuring a safe and pleasant environment is maintained for our community and visitors.
Requirements for the position
* The ability and preparedness to undertake the Cert IV Government Investigation (Statutory Compliance) and Cert IV Animal Control and Regulation.
* Previous experience working with stock and domestic animals would be an advantage.
