General Labourer | Cleanaway NT Collections (Holtze, NT) About the Role Cleanaway’s NT Collections team is seeking reliable and safety-focused
General Labourers to support our recycling and waste-management operations in Holtze. This hands-on role is ideal for people who enjoy physical work, machinery operation, teamwork, and contributing to cleaner, safer communities. You will be a key part of depot operations—helping keep the site clean, safe, and running efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will support daily depot operations through tasks such as: Bailing cardboard and plastic Washing bins and maintaining depot cleanliness
Loading and unloading trucks Operating a forklift Driving the depot ute to replace damaged wheelie bins in the community
Completing general labouring tasks as directed This role involves hands-on physical work and requires a strong safety mindset. What Success Looks
Like (First 90 Days) Completing all daily bailing, washing and loading tasks safely and efficiently Demonstrating safe forklift operation and sound material handling
Showing reliability, consistency, and strong teamwork Supporting depot readiness during adverse weather or flood-related work What
You Need to Bring Must-Have
Valid Forklift Licence (mandatory) Driver’s licence and reliable transport Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Ability to perform repetitive manual handling and physical tasks Reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail Commitment to safety in all tasks
Nice to Have Previous depot, waste industry or labouring experience
Experience using bailing machinery Experience operating similar machinery or working in recycling environments Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Manual handling and repetitive physical tasks Working outdoors and in operational depot environments Safe interaction with machinery, forklifts, trucks, and the depot fleet
PPE required (provided by site): Hi-Vis shirts/pants Safety glasses
Gloves Work boots Bum cap, glove clips etc.
