EDON Place Domestic and Family Violence Service is a not-for-profit organisation. The service is the lead provider for domestic and family violence in Bundaberg and the North Burnett Region. EDON Place aims to assist women and their children to maintain a life free of violence while addressing emotional and practical needs and issues arising from the violence. The service offers a holistic approach to people affected by domestic and family violence with the necessary support and resources to support to break the cycle of domestic and family violence.
Position:
EDON Place are seeking a Women's Young People and Children's Counsellor to join our team based in Bundaberg on a fixed-term (18-month contract) full-time basis. The position will provide Counselling services and support to women, young people, and children who have experienced domestic and family violence. As a trauma counsellor at EDON Place, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to empower women and children. Working closely with a small and dedicated counselling team you will provide individual and group therapy sessions that are trauma-informed and tailored to the unique needs of our clients. Clinical expertise and understanding of the dynamics surrounding domestic and family violence and sexual assault are preferable. This role will work closely with DFV Practitioners and other Counselling staff to ensure the client receives the best possible outcome. This position will be paid at a rate in accordance with SCHADS Level 5.1.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma of Counselling
- Bachelor of Counselling (or similar) or working towards.
- Registered with ACA, PACFA (or similar) or ability to be registered.
