The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in South West Sydney.
From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords whateveryou love, you can share it with someone who loves it too.
As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in your community.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring individual to volunteer socially with our elderly client in Busby.
He loves anything related to soccer and would enjoy a friendly Spanish-speaking visitor to have a chat over a cuppa.
Your impact: Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself.
Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated.
Your visits will bring great joy to the clients you are matched with.
HammondCare is a provider of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Time required: We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday.
Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
Training: Training and ongoing support will be provided by a Volunteer Coordinator.
