Help us write the next chapter: Join our team as Coordinator Library Services. This position will be based at the Australind Library however will be required at times to work across all Shire of Harvey Libraries. Library opening days are Monday to Saturday.
The Coordinator Library Services responsibilities are to lead and coordinate day-to-day library operations, supervise library staff, design and deliver innovative library programs and events that support cultural, recreational and lifelong learning needs of the community.
Do you have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Library Studies, or similar, or progression towards
* Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering relevant and innovative community-focused programs
* Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
Benefits and conditions
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government Officers' (WA) Award 2021 with a salary payable for this position of Level 5 ($88,634 to $92,960) inclusive of 10% library loading) per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
* Superannuation of 12 per cent occupational superannuation from date of commencement, with an opportunity that the Shire will match an employee's voluntary contribution to their nominated plan provided that employee contributes an amount of at least 5 per cent or 6 per cent of their own salary.
* Full-time position, one day off is available after every 19 days worked, rostered days off cannot be accumulated.
* Four weeks paid annual leave, including a 17.5 per cent leave loading.
* A probationary period of three months is applicable to this position.
* Free membership to the Leschenault Leisure Centre, the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre and the Dr Peter Topham Memorial Swimming Pool.
* A medical examination and a current police clearance will be required prior to appointment, costs to be reimbursed by the Shire.
